Wondering what's been happening at HOUNDMADE lately? Then, read on, my lovelies....

Mr. Matt has been working hard on his leash holders. He has a few custom orders in the works and The Show Pony Show coming up in August. More about that later.

Jennifer is working on Gwen's portrait for the House of Dang!
She is a hip-hop poodle dog.
I'd love to meet her. I bet she's a lot of fun.

Jennifer made Bubba a new fashion collar and bed last week. His collar matches our new living room, so he feels really special.

Other than that, Pu, Annie and I have been trying to keep cool and stay out of the dreadful Texas heat.

So yesterday, Jennifer took Annie and I on the loooooongest walk I've ever been on. We walked the entire lake at White Rock. That's 9.10 miles for those of you who are not familiar with East Dallas. It was so much fun. We got to run off our leashes in a field full of squirrels and we got to go swimming. Although, I'm not so sure that Jenn is going to let us swim in White Rock ever again because last night, my eye started oozing some gross discharge and I couldn't open it up! Jenn squirted some stuff in my eye, which really made me mad. But then, she put this really warm rag over my eye. It felt really nice. It was so relaxing. I think I fell asleep. It must of worked too, because today, my eye is looking much better. Jenn mentioned the vet last night, but I think that since it looks better today, I may not have to go after all. Yay!

On to Etsy Tuesday.....In celebration of my oozey eye, I have found this super cute greeting card by Puppy Love Creations. Bark, Bark.

Since we've been back in Dallas, the HOUNDMADE studio has been bustling. In case you didn't hear, HOUNDMADE products are now for sale at a really cool store here in Dallas, called HOUSE OF DANG!

Jennifer has plans to get some more collars out there in the retail world before the end of the Summer. Right now, however, she's been pretty busy painting portraits and such.

She just sent off Abby and Maya and now she is painting a memorial portrait of a dog named Fidget.

The painting includes the dog's person which is not something Jenn does very often, but I think it's coming along nicely. After Fidget, comes Bebe, then Gwen (the famous House of Dang dog) and then...me??? Come on, mom...I need my portrait!

These two paintings are experimental works using Fimo clay. Jenn often works on these small paintings while she is working on dog portraits as a creative release. Painting portraits requires a lot of focus. She has to get everything just right, or else the portrait will not resemble the person or dog as it needs to. So, these other little paintings give Jenn a few moments of freedom to play.

Matt's been busy reorganizing the garage. He has some plans for some new leash hangers and dog feeders when he is done cleaning. As usual, he's been visiting the Depot about 10 times a day. He just can't seem to get enough of that place. 

As for me, I've just been trying to help keep the studio clean by eating anything that falls on the floor. (Fimo is not that yummy, FYI.) and hanging out with Annie waiting patiently for my next modeling call.
