Things HOUNDMADE learned at their first outdoor craft show:
1. Arrive early...there's always more to do.
2. Secure everything down so things like huge paintings don't go flying off their shelves when a gust of wind blows through! oops.
3. Get friends and family to lend a helping hand if needed.
4. Walk around and visit other booths.
5. Bring a camera.
6. Bring a fan!
7. Bring lots of water.
8. Bring lots of sunscreen.
9. Don't believe the weather man when he says it's going to be a beautiful day. Prepare for anything. (especially if it happends to be Spring time in Texas!)
10. Have fun!
Tomorrow is the Urban Street Bazaar! Come on out for some FREE fun.
Below is some information from the Bazaar website:
The May 10th, 2008 Urban Bazaar will be held in the Bishop Arts District of North Oak Cliff, a historic small town located right here in Dallas that is home to over 50 local merchants and restaurants.
In addition to the Urban Bazaar there will be a custom & classic car show, side walk sales, open house, gallery shows and so much more around the district. So pack up the car with everyone you know and head down to the district for an amazing day of local shopping and entertainment.
The week of the event we will post a parking guide / map, please check back before heading down so that you will know exactly where to park.
This is a FREE EVENT, please support our sponsors and vendors for putting on this event, free of charge.
The car show will take place on Bishop & 7th Streets, while the Bazaar will be held on Bishop in front of Make Shop and Studio from 8th to Melba. We will be closing down the streets for these events to accomodate the pedestrian traffic.
